REQUIREMENT FOR ENTRY INTO SOLOMON ISLANDS

ALL Solomon Islands citizens are informed that following Cabinet decisions by the Government of Solomon Islands you are no longer required to have a COVID-19 RT-PCR test when travelling back home provided “You are fully Vaccinated”.

You are also not required to fill and seek approval for travel from the Ministry of Health Solomon Islands provided you are fully vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated means that you have received [2] vaccines and have a valid proof of document to confirm your vaccination status. A certificate of proof of vaccination is required and this will need to be presented on arrival in Solomon Islands. COVID-19 vaccination is required at least 4 weeks before departure to be eligible to travel. Where two vaccination doses are required to complete vaccination, this period commences following the completion of the second dose.

Children under 12 years are not required to be vaccinated.


When travelling from Canada you must obtain a complete COVID vaccine certificate [ issued online by your provincial ministry of Health free of Charge] as a proof of vaccine document.

Section [A] below only applies to a traveller if they are not fully vaccinated.


[A] If a travelling citizen 12 years of age or older is not fully COVID-19 vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 PCR test result is required to be taken within 72 hours of departure, or otherwise as instructed to the citizen by official exemption from the Solomon Islands Ministry of Health and Medical Services. Proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test result is required to be provided to immigration on arrival in Solomon Islands.

Where to Obtain Proof of Vaccination


Please be advised that you can obtain “ Proof of Vaccination” in Canada in the province you have received your vaccination. It is free to obtain your proof of vaccination document. You will only need proof of vaccination card you would have received from the Vaccination centre which were issued to you during the time the vaccine doses were administered along with your provincial medical card to access your electronic record of vaccination.
